The B285M's midrange frequency offers the right combination of under-vessel coverage, extended depth range, and the ability to produce clean, accurate target and structure returns in medium to deep water. The medium frequency also provides excellent shallow to medium depth performance, bottom detail and fish target separation. Operating at a frequency range of 85 to 135 kHz, this transducer detects fish at medium depths up to 457 m (1500') and provides ultra-sharp target resolution.
This model is also ideal for single channel sonar applications where operating in Chirp mode gives you a greater opportunity to see what's in the water column. Simply create presets for 85 and 135 kHz and alternate between wide and narrow beams to scan an area and then locate structure.
The included high-performance fairing improves broadband performance at speeds above 30 knots.
