Garmin GHP ™ Reactor 40 for mechanical / hydraulic / solenoid steering systems
With new GHC50 display
Our most responsive autopilot
Solid-state 9-axis AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) compass.
Reduction of deviation and course errors, of rudder movement and less power consumption, for precise and comfortable navigation.
Designed to be installed without orientation constraints.
Significantly reduced calibration and initial setup times.
Maintain heading and wind angle (gWind ™ transducer required) with tack and jibe functions.
Garmin, thanks to the innovative series of GHP Reactor autopilots, offers advanced technology for sailing and motor boats. GHP Reactor is one of the most sensitive and reactive systems on the market.
GHP Reactor autopilots include features such as heading hold, wind angle with tack and jibe functions and much more.
The GHP Reactor is an extremely versatile system. Compatible with hydraulic, mechanical and solenoid steering systems, it is ideal for both sailing and motor boats. It is an indispensable aid during navigation when it is necessary to leave the helm to devote to other activities or to control other on-board devices.
AHRS system - solid state 9-axis compass
The GHP Reactor ensures unprecedented performance through the use of a 9-axis solid-state compass and a reference system (AHRS) that minimizes deviation and heading errors, thus limiting rudder movement and energy consumption of the boat, ensuring precise and comfortable course keeping.
Responsive in any situation
This extraordinary autopilot adapts to any sea conditions to allow you to stay on course. The GHP Reactor is able to perfectly maintain the set course even in case of rolling and pitching in rough seas.
Significantly reduced calibration and initial setup times
All autopilots require commissioning and calibration. The new Reactor autopilots, compared to previous versions, have simpler processes and set-up and calibration times have decreased significantly, from 20 to 5 minutes.
Full integration with Garmin chartplotters
With a compatible Garmin network chartplotter you can have total control of the GHP Reactor directly from the display. Using the BlueChart® g2 Vision cartography (sold separately) it is possible to exploit the potential of the innovative Autoguidance function, automatically following the best route to reach a point on the GPS. The GHP Reactor, in addition to keeping the course in any sea condition, can easily carry out numerous pre-programmed procedures, such as search and trolling.
Installation
The GHP Reactor autopilot can be installed on sail and power boats using CR hydraulic actuators, mechanical, solenoids and reversible pumps from other manufacturers. It can also be used for refitting on boats with pre-existing systems.
Linear actuators
Sailboat Mechanical Linear Actuator - Type A: Durable, compact and lightweight linear actuators are designed for extended use. Extremely efficient, they reduce the boat's energy consumption to a minimum. The type A actuator can be used on vessels with displacement up to 13 tons equipped with mechanical steering. Mounted below deck, they move the rudder axis directly by acting on the predisposed arm or on the special sector.
Hydraulic linear actuator for sailboats - type A: type A hydraulic linear actuators are intended for boats with displacement up to 22 tons and consist of a hydraulic cylinder with clutch. The Type A actuator connects to the rudder shaft via an independent arm.
Hydraulic linear actuator for sailboats - type B: Type B hydraulic linear actuators are intended for boats with displacement up to 35 tons and consist of a hydraulic cylinder with clutch, a reversible pump and a reservoir. The type B actuator connects to the rudder shaft via an independent arm.
Connect to networked devices
The GHP Reactor autopilot connects to the Garmin Marine Network via NMEA 2000® allowing data sharing with compatible chartplotters. Supports up to 3 GHC ™ 50 data display controllers that can also be controlled via an optional wireless remote or quatix®, the world's first marine GPS watch.
GRF ™ sensor 10
The GHP Reactor for mechanical / hydraulic / solenoid steering systems requires, when not included with the actuator, a Garmin GRF 10 sensor to obtain rudder position data and increase course stability while underway.
