Garmin GMR 18 HD3 Radar Antenna
New Radome Version
The lightweight and durable GMR 18 HD3 high definition digital radome antenna ensures maximum precision in scanning the surrounding environment and detecting targets in any weather conditions and allows for extremely sharp image definition up to 36 nm.
Performance
This radar antenna, with a diameter of 45.7 cm and a transmission power of 4 kW, is ideal for medium and small sized vessels.
By connecting the GMR 18 HD3 antenna to a multifunction display and an optional direction sensor, you can take advantage of the MARPA function which allows you to obtain information on the navigation status of other vessels such as direction, course and speed, up to a maximum of 10 targets. at the same time.
Connecting to the network
The GMR 18 HD3 antenna can be connected to the existing Garmin Marine Network, in a 'plug and play' way. Once connected, the multifunction displays of the on-board system can display the information coming from the antenna.
Characteristics:
DUAL RADAR SUPPORT
By using dual radar, data redundancy is achieved and each display on the vessel can draw data from one of two different radar sources.
DYNAMIC AUTO GAIN
Auto Gain technology automatically adjusts gain levels to the optimum for best viewing of marine, coastal and open water.
DYNAMIC SEA FILTER
This radar technology automatically adjusts Sea Clutter based on sea and wave conditions.
RADAR OVERLAY
Allows you to overlay radar images on your chartplotter map page. For best results, add an optional heading sensor or autopilot (sold separately).
MARPA TARGET DETECTION
Detects and tracks selected targets to avoid collisions (with appropriate sensors, sold separately).
LOW HEARING IMPACT SCANNING
The GMR HD3 radome drive motor is reliable and makes a fixed 24 revolutions per minute, limiting noise and energy consumption.
