The highly sensitive GPSMAP 79s handheld receiver is an ergonomically shaped floating device with a 3-axis electronic compass with tilt compensation that shows you your direction, even when the boat is stationary. Get the best of Garmin and Navionics data with optional BlueChart g3 charts.

Features and performance
GPSMAP 79s features a bright 3 '' high resolution, anti-scratch and anti-fog color LCD display. With the support of multiple satellite constellations, such as GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS and SBAS, it ensures accuracy and reliability in tracking and positioning around the world. The larger memory capacity than previous models means you can save and track 10,000 waypoints, 250 routes and 300 fitness activities.
If the sea starts to shake and the laptop falls into the water, don't worry the device is floating and waterproof IP X7.
User-replaceable AA batteries (not included) provide up to 19 hours of battery life in GPS tracking mode.
