GEOS is the world leader in emergency management and monitoring. He has organized relief efforts in over 140 countries, rescuing several people in danger of life. It is active 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to answer your SOS, locate the device and alert the appropriate contacts and rescuers in the relevant area. Once an emergency signal is activated, you will be immediately informed about waiting times, intervention methods and constantly updated on the progress of the rescue team.
Many ways to connect
Unit-to-unit wireless connectivity lets you control the inReach Mini 2 to send and receive messages using your Garmin smartphone or tablet, smartwatch or other portable device1. GPS-based location tracking lets you share your whereabouts with your companions or family members who are at home. You can also post your adventures on social networks. For basic navigation, a compass is available that shows the bearing and distance to a course or to a waypoint.
Pair it with your smartphone or tablet
For greater ease of use and to access new functions, inReach Mini 2 can connect via Bluetooth® to compatible devices with Apple® or Android™ platforms allowing the use of maps and aerial images thanks to the free Earthmate app. In addition, Earthmate allows you to use all the inReach Mini functions in a practical way on your smartphone or tablet. To make sending messages easier, you can view your phone's address book from the Earthmate app and reach your contacts from all over the world.
Pair it with your smartphone or tablet
In the world of aviation, inReach Mini 2 has become a very important device for air communications. When paired via Bluetooth with a compatible tablet or smartphone running the Garmin Pilot app, the inReach Mini 2 makes it easy to send and receive text messages when you're in the cabin, even in areas with no cell phone signal reception. The app pulls contacts from your smartphone's address book, so access is quick and easy. Because the inReach Mini 2 is also a portable GPS, Garmin Pilot is able to use its reliable location function to pinpoint the aircraft's location and display it on the tablet's moving map. Additionally, for those on the ground, the inReach Mini 2 can track your flight using the web-based MapShare™ page created for your inReach account. You can also connect via Facebook® or Twitter®.
Additional aviation services
inReach Mini 2 is also a supported device for Lockheed Martin Flight Services (LMFS) Adverse Condition Alerting Service (ACAS), Surveillance-Enhanced Search and Rescue (SE-SAR), and Enhanced Special Reporting Services (eSRS). If you sign up for ACAS information, alerts provided through LMFS let you know the details of dealing with any adverse conditions that may affect your flight route. Similarly, the self-monitoring provided by the SE-SAR service allows the system to identify potential in-flight emergency situations and/or send signals to promptly initiate search and rescue procedures for your aircraft.
Weather forecast everywhere
The optional inReach weather forecast service provides detailed updates directly to your inReach Mini 2 device or smartphone or tablet (via the Earthmate app) to always know the weather conditions along your route. There are basic and premium weather packages available.
