StructureScan® 3D
Lowrance StructureScan® 3D allows anglers to have a view of fish, structure and bottom profile in an incredible three-dimensional perspective. StructureScan® 3D imagery analyzes the underwater terrain and fish containment structure to create a high-resolution, 180-degree, three-dimensional view of the seabed beneath the vessel. Thanks to these one-of-a-kind images, anglers are more aware of the position of the fish and the structure relative to the boat. Photo-quality three-dimensional views are displayed on Lowrance HDS Gen3 series fishfinders / chartplotters used in conjunction with the SideScan 3D Skimmer® transducer and StructureScan® 3D module.
Lowrance® 3D
StructureScan 3D features multi-beam sonar technology that produces clear images with stunning detail, converting underwater terrain and fish containment structure analyzes into high-resolution, 180-degree, three-dimensional views. Realistic 3D scans are displayed on Lowrance HDS Gen 3 series fishfinders / chartplotters used in conjunction with the SidesScan 3D Skimmer® transducer and StructureScan® 3D module.
Easy to understand sonar images
3D views from any angle with ScanTrack ™ control for pivoting, tilting and panning, using touch screen controls and preset, easy-to-use viewing positions.
Quick identification of the main fishing areas
StructureScan® 3D makes it easier for anglers to understand the position of fish and containment structure relative to the boat. Thanks to the large 180-degree scan range, by moving slowly and with the engine at idle to a potential fishing area, anglers will be able to search for key areas, such as sudden changes in depth, peaks, ditches, boulders, branch concentrations and foliage, algae, wood parts home to algae, wrecks and much more.
Unmatched SideScan image clarity
To ensure even sharper SideScan views, the StructureScan 3D transducer design has been enhanced with the addition of new sensors for higher quality images.
Even wider high definition (HD) 3D scanning
Profiles below the water surface can be seen on the sides of the boat - up to 600 feet to port and starboard with incredibly detailed, high-definition views. StructureScan® 3D offers more views, including DownScan Imaging ™ and StructureScan® HD two-dimensional views, as well as new realistic three-dimensional views. Using angles with preset viewpoints or the ScanTrack ™ pan, tilt and pan control mode, you can adjust the view and perspective below your vessel. The combination of custom 3D and HD views provides greater awareness of fish location based on coverage and optimizes the search for fishing areas.
Leading Edge ™ Scan References
Leading Edge ™ scan references provide clear graphical illustrations of sonar beams hitting the bottom contours. The depth and extent of the last scanned area are indicated by red fan symbols directly below the boat. Leading Edge also includes a depth scale that shows depth in greater detail when zooming in on images, thus giving a better perception of the depth at which the target is located.
SelectScan ™ target identification
SelectScan ™ automatically applies shading to fish containment cover and suspended targets in a color that contrasts with the selected color palette, making target identification faster and easier than ever before.
Vertical Enhancement Control
Vertical Enhancement is a user-selectable scale that is applied to the screen and that provides more detail on vertical drops and critical changes in isobaths, which in this way will be more easily identifiable than the surrounding underwater terrain. Vertical Enhancement makes even the smallest variations in depth more visible.
Waypoint overlay
The visualization of fishing areas, structure and other underwater elements will be even clearer thanks to the overlay of waypoints. You can use the waypoint keyboard to save a waypoint at your vessel's position or switch to cursor mode and save a waypoint to specific targets, lures or cover.
Automatic 3D image settings
3D image settings are automatically adjusted in the HDS Gen 3 default configuration and StructureScan 3D module. You can adjust the surface transparency and contrast settings via the on-screen slider bar. The surface transparency option reduces surface parasitic echo, decreasing the sensitivity of the receiver near the surface. Contrast lightens or darkens the color palette to make fish and structure easier to see.
