VIRB is an easy-to-use, impact-resistant 1080p HD Action Cam that features advanced HD video recording features and a low-power 1.4 "color Chroma display. The display allows you to view the captured image and adjust shooting and video recording modes without disconnecting the VIRB from its holder. To start shooting, you just have to move the large slide button forward. Record at 1080p for nearly 3 hours with the rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Video enhancements such as Digital Image Stabilization and Lens Distortion Correction ensure the quality of your footage even before editing.

VIRB records 1080p HD videos that let you relive every minute of your adventure with detailed, high-contrast, distortion-free footage. In addition to the standard 1080p setting at 30fps, you can adjust the resolution and recording speed up to 120fps for thrilling and atmospheric slow motion action. The WideVü lens, via the 16 megapixel CMOS sensor, allows you to record videos with higher quality. Multiple HD Video Modes: 1080p @ 30fps, 960p @ 30 / 48fps, 720p @ 30 / 60fps, 848x480 @ 120fps.

The low energy consumption 1.4 "Chroma display allows you to view the menu settings as well. In fact, during the preparation phase, you can choose the type of shooting and the mode. Navigate through the menus to choose: video setting, time lapse, multiple shot, slow mo and much more.

VIRB is equipped with a class-leading 2000mAh Li-ion battery that has been tested for up to 3 hours of recording time at 1080p. Charging is as simple as connecting to a computer or power outlet. Extend your recording time by bringing an extra battery into your adventures (viewed separately).
Innovative and easy to use
VIRB was designed to be easy to use. With a large slide button located on the side of the camera you can start shooting without having to check the display. An acoustic click will identify the start of the recording. The tapered design of the VIRB is innovative yet robust, so you can always carry it with you during all your activities. You can shoot with the confidence that you have captured the most important moments.
Control of VIRB with the remote control
VIRB uses ANT + ™ wireless connectivity to allow you to use other compatible Garmin products, such as fenix ™, Oregon®, and Edge®, as a remote control. Towards the end of 2013, the dedicated remote control will be introduced which will work with the same ANT + connectivity, so you will not have to lift your hands from the handlebar or remove the camera from the holder to stop and restart recording and to take photos.

Digital image stabilization and other functions
With the activation of the digital image stabilization function, VIRB allows a shake-free shooting in case of bumpy paths in order to be able to share a smoother and more fluid video with friends. In addition, the Lens Distorction Correction (LDC) function improves the first person perspective for better video quality.
High definition photography
VIRB is also a high performance digital camera. With 16 megapixel photo capture and the LDC function you can get sharper, clearer images with less distortion, also thanks to processing through the CMOS processor. Using the remote control or the side scrolling button of the VIRB you can take single shots at 16, 12 or 8 megapixels, or you can choose the multi-shot (6 / s) or photo interval (0.5, 1, 2, 5) function , 10, 30, 60 seconds).
Recording of videos and photos at the same time
Don't miss a single moment of the video to take a photo. VIRB allows you to take photographs even while recording a video with the single press of a button on your compatible Garmin remote or on the camera itself.
Brackets
VIRB's wide variety of mounting brackets allow you to securely mount your camera virtually anywhere. From brackets for mounting on flat and curved surfaces and dashboards to brackets for handlebars, helmets, shoulders and multi-purpose hook and loop mounts and much more, VIRB brackets adapt to any need. For a more reliable, long-lasting and anti-vibration locking the fixing base is equipped with interlocking teeth that allow a secure and shockproof housing. An adapter is also available that allows you to use VIRB with third party brackets.
Optional underwater case
VIRB is robust and water resistant (IPX7¹). For deeper dives, the optional underwater case ensures water resistance up to 50 meters.
