RADAR CYCLONE THE 55W THAT AMAZE
07/05/2022
Today I am aboard a 45m for a Seatrial with the new Raymarine Cyclone Radar. After a complete refit of the bridge systems.
The choice of Raymarine's new Cyclone radar was dictated by its undisputed defining characteristics (see article HERE )
The reconstruction of the bar turns out to be precise and defined up to the highest scales with beats at the limits of the out-of-scale, I remember that we are
in front of a 55W Chirp radar !! The feeling it returns is that of the beats of the 25 KW of analog radars.
Reaching the Croatian coast at 94 miles from the Italian coasts is no small feat, especially with these powers at stake. Only 55W !!
In the second image it is possible to detect the Island of Susak together with its AIS station.
