The Shakespear GALAXY INFL8 emergency VHF antenna is ready to use in an instant thanks to the integrated CO2 cartridge but can also be inflated to breath using the appropriate mouthpiece. The antenna body is 1.6 meters (5 feet) high and transmits with a gain of 3dB.
It has two velcro straps with 600 mm long eyelets that offer different installation possibilities.
Versatile and high quality connection to a radio via the PL-259 connector mounted on the 6.3 m long RG174 (Ø 3 mm) cable. Connect the Shakespear GALAXY INFL8 Emergency Antenna to your portable radio with an SMA antenna connector (external thread / female) using the supplied SMA adapter (internal thread / male). The non-soldered UHF connector can be used to connect the antenna to the VHF antenna cable already present on board.
Note:
Not intended for use as a personal float
Despite its high visibility, the antenna is not considered an emergency visual signal
Not suitable for underwater excursions and man overboard situations
