The ideal navigation and safety accessory for offshore cruisers and sport fishing boats, the R2009 offers bracket mount and flush mounting options and intuitive use with the keypad for reliable control in all conditions.
Dedicated radar control display
The R2009 radar control unit features a professional grade interface to Simrad Halo ™ Pulse Compression radar solutions,
Designed to match the modern style of Simrad Glass Bridge instruments and displays, this dedicated radar display is a perfect complement to the NSS evo2 or NSO evo2 multifunction display system. By adding the dedicated screen and controls, it is possible to optimize the radar's usefulness, without sacrificing the simple and robust design of the helm station.
9 "" vertical radar control unit
The R2009 unit optimizes the screen size in environments where space is limited for mounting, thanks to the compact 9 "" vertical display, ideal for centralized consoles. The vertical layout allows for a radar image that occupies almost the entire width of the screen; alarms, indicators and target tracking information are displayed in widescreen panes above and below the main radar display.
Robust design with flexible mounting options
Designed to fit the needs of offshore cruisers, sportfishing and commercial vessels, the R2009 / R3016 unit supports flush mount installation for console or dashboard or on the included gimbal bracket. Watertight rear connectors ensure the R2009 unit is IPX7 waterproof on all sides, in both types of installation.
Using the keypad with direct access menu keys
The R2009 is operated with an integrated keypad and knob. Direct access menu keys next to the display allow you to use options from adjacent on-screen menus for quick and intuitive access to key functions and settings. With extended use capability, reliability and clear tactile feedback, the R2009's large buttons are ideal in rough sea conditions, when cruising at high speeds, when you have wet hands or are wearing gloves.
Network connectivity and expansion
The R2009 radar control unit connects to compatible Simrad radar systems via an Ethernet network, providing simple installation and easy connection of multiple control units and radar systems. The R2009 also has two NMEA 0183® ports and NMEA 2000® connectivity for compatible devices such as speed and direction sensors, AIS and GPS.
HDMI output for display mirroring
To create a secondary radar display that mirrors the built-in screen, you can connect a Simrad MO series marine monitor or other compatible display to the HDMI output of the R3016. To create a fully functional "clone" station ideal for dual helm boats, you can add a second non-interactive radar display or combine an additional display with the optional Simrad O2000 wired remote device.
