The RS-100-B model is equipped with 1 wired receiver and 1 loudspeaker, but you can add up to 4 more Simrad RS60 wireless receivers and 3 more RS100 wired receivers, as well as up to 3 additional external speakers, transforming the radio in intercom on board. Each inductive charging wireless receiver duplicates the radio display and controls onto a large, easy-to-read screen, viewable in all lighting conditions, with an intuitive user interface. Access all key functions with channel and favorite search, alphanumeric keypad, clear audio, receiver station naming and 60 second audio rewind.
See and be seen with integrated AIS
The RS100-B unit includes a Class B AIS transceiver, which not only receives AIS targets, but also transmits your vessel's position to nearby AIS-equipped vessels. This will allow other sailors to locate your vessel in any conditions, day or night. An integrated AIS receiver monitors the position of other AIS-equipped vessels in the vicinity, helping to avoid possible collisions in crowded ports and canals. AIS information can be displayed on the radio's built-in screen or superimposed on the chart or radar screen via a compatible multifunction display.
